Aura Fit Privacy Policy
Effective 9 October 2026. This policy covers the Aura Fit app for Android and iPhone, package name com.gymlog.gym.
Who we are
Aura Fit is a workout and food logger published by Sagar Zodage. The app does not require an account. Most of what you enter stays on your phone.
Information stored on your phone
Aura Fit saves the following in local storage on your device:
- Profile details you choose to enter: name, age, sex, height, weight, and calorie or protein goals.
- Workouts, sets, weights, repetitions, notes, and workout history.
- Meals, food quantities, and nutrition totals.
- Water, sleep, and daily step counts.
- Reminder settings.
- GymBro check-ins and member statuses. These are stored only on this phone. They are not sent to other people or to a shared server.
Uninstalling the app deletes this local copy.
Information sent to other services
Aura Fit does not run its own user database. These features send data only when you use them:
- Meal photos. If you take or choose a photo to identify food, that image is sent to Google’s Gemini API at generativelanguage.googleapis.com so the app can suggest a food name and nutrition. Nothing is saved in Aura Fit until you confirm it. Google processes the image under Google’s privacy policy.
- Food search. The words you type in food search are sent to January AI at partners.january.ai to look up foods. January processes that search under its own privacy policy.
- Custom food server. If you enter your own food-analysis server address, meal photos are sent to that address instead of, or in addition to, the services above.
- Steps. If you allow it, Aura Fit reads step counts from Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iPhone. The counts are saved on your phone. Aura Fit does not upload them.
- Videos. Warm-up, stretch, and exercise videos load from YouTube when you press play. YouTube may receive your IP address and device information under Google’s privacy policy.
Permissions
- Camera and photos are used only when you log a meal from a picture.
- Physical activity and Health Connect or Apple Health are used to read step counts.
- Notifications are used for local workout, meal, water, and GymBro reminders. They are scheduled on your phone.
- Internet is used for food recognition, food search, and videos.
You can turn these permissions off in your phone settings. The related feature will stop working.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use a third-party analytics or advertising SDK.
- We do not ask you to create an Aura Fit account.
Children
Aura Fit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
How to delete your information
Delete the app to remove the workouts, meals, profile, and other data stored on that phone. Meal photos already sent to Google or January are handled by those companies. To ask about this policy, email the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
